What I have learned from Noah
#1. Don't miss the boat.
#2. Don't forget that we're all in the same boat.
#3. Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.
#4. Stay fit. Noah was 600 years old when God put him to work.
#5. Don't listen to critics, just get on with what has to be done.
#6. Build your future on high ground.
#7. For safety's sake, travel in pairs.
#8. Speed isn't always an advantage;
the snails were on the same Ark as the cheetahs.
#9. When you're stressed, float awhile.
#10. Remember that the ark was built by amateurs;
the Titanic was built by professionals.
#11. Remember that woodpeckers inside
are a larger threat than the storm outside.
#12. Take care of your animals as if they were the last ones on earth.
#13. Stay below deck during the storm.
#14. If you have to start over, have a friend by your side.
#15. No matter how bleak it looks,
there's always a rainbow on the other side

My friends,
I with all this rain, a touch of levity will add a healthy perspective.
"A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength"
Proverbs 17:22
"A glad heart makes a happy face;
a broken heart crushes the spirit"
Proverbs 15:13
There are some things that must always be laughed at in life:
#1. Laugh when people tell a joke (Otherwise you might make them feel bad)
#2. Laugh when you look into a mirror (Otherwise you might feel bad)
#3. Laugh when you make a mistake (If you don’t, you’ll forget how unimportant the whole thing really was)
#4. Laugh with small children (It will restore your delight in the simple things of life - kids laugh at dogs nuzzling their ears, mud in their hair....)
#5. Laugh at situations that are out of your control (you can either laugh, cry or get mad -- you will live longer if you laugh)
#6. Laugh at anything arrogant (laughing adds perspective to the absurd -- it keeps things real)
#7. Laugh when all your carefully laid plans get changed (because now you're free to breathe and be spontaneous -- stop and look around -- admire beauty for a change)
